World renowned Dutch shipyard Feadship, has announced that after a refit that lasted nine months, it has relaunched the 132-foot yacht that begin her life as Sea Flower. Originally launched as Sea Flower in 2002, she has now “blossomed” into the superyacht known as Cipitouba.

Some of the key features of her transformation include: new exhaust gas filters (HUG) as well as a completely new exhaust system. The vessel has been updated with a new electrical power management system with main switchboard and a state of the art alarm and monitoring system. The interior was also given a complete makeover, and she now sports a refreshed main deck saloon, dining room and bridge deck lounge. New marble flooring is now found in the guest bathrooms, as well as an updated IT/AV system and the security system now includes new CCTV systems throughout. Cipitouba was delivered to her owners in early June following the completion of her 15-year Lloyd’s class survey.

According to Boat Magazine, “the main-deck saloon, dining room and bridge deck lounge were all given a complete makeover, while the marble in the guest bathrooms was replaced.

Transforming Sea Flower into Cipitouba

Designed by De Voogt Naval Architects, Cipitouba was launched in 2002 with interiors by Larvor. She can accommodate up to ten guests and seven crewmembers. Key features include a walk-around main deck and superyacht sundeck that is partially shaded by a hardtop bimini.

As we reported in Refit News last month, Cipitouba was among four refits completed in the first half of 2017, by Feadship, the other three being, the 164 foot Aurora, the 225 foot Drizzle and the 156 foot Tatasu.
